William A. Wooten


William A. Wooten is an attorney, mediator, and business development specialist based out of West Tennessee. Mr. Wooten recently founded his own legal practice, Wooten Law Office in his hometown of Covington, Tennessee, and his law office focuses on representing individuals and small businesses with business transactions and contract negotiations, corporate and entrepreneurial law, employment law, intellectual property, sports and entertainment law, personal injury, workers’ compensation and collections issues. Mr. Wooten is admitted to practice law in Tennessee, Missouri and Texas and is currently a member of the Tennessee, Missouri and Texas State Bar Associations, the Memphis Bar Association, and the Tipton County Bar Association. Mr. Wooten is also admitted to practice in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court for the Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee and the Eastern District of Missouri. Mr. Wooten is also a certified civil and family law mediator and enjoys resolving disputes through the use of alternative dispute resolution techniques.

Mr. Wooten is a also founder and owner of multiple beverage companies including Energy Beverages Worldwide and New World Beverages. Before creating his own beverage brands, Mr. Wooten was the President of Business Development for Nelly, Inc. (the corporate entity for the International Entertainer Nelly) where he was instrumental in launching multi-million dollar brands including Apple Bottoms Clothing Company. Mr. Wooten also has previous management and business development experience in the Entertainment, Beverage, and Clothing Industries where he developed expertise in writing business plans, negotiating domestic and international licensing deals, obtaining product endorsements and sponsorships for athletes and artists, and providing creative legal solutions for great business ideas.

Mr. Wooten completed a double major in Economics and Political Science and received his B.A. Degree, with honors, from Washington University in St. Louis. Mr. Wooten was a varsity member of the Washington University Baseball Team and President of the Sigma Chi Fraternity during his tenure at Washington University. After two years of working in business development and accounting while running his own consulting company, Wooten Worldwide, LLC, Mr. Wooten went back to school to obtain his J.D. Degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law. While at the University of Tennessee College of Law, Mr. Wooten was the President of the Sport and Entertainment Law Society, a member of the International Law Society and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, and obtained Certificates of Academic Achievements in Negotiations and Professionalism, International Business Transactions, National Security Law, and Mediation Clinic.

Mr. Wooten is a member of the Rotary Club and supports numerous local causes. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports and traveling the world.
